Consign By Design was started in September of 1997 with the heartfelt desire as described in our mission statement above. The store has remained at the same location at the corner of Seminary and Front Avenue in historic Lutherville. Through the combined efforts and vision of Linda Cox and Christi Ferrell, Consign By Design became a reality. Each brings a unique background and chemistry to the business which makes it what it is today.

Linda grew up in North Carolina where her interest in auctions, antique furniture, and interior design was formed and nurtured. With her background in both marketing and real estate she is co-owner of Consign by Design. When asked about interior design, Consign By Design responded by adding to their many resources Consign By Design Interior Design to meet the growing demands of our customers in the area.

Christi like Linda shares a love for antique furniture and interior design having also grown up in the south and hails from Chattanooga, TN. Christi is also co-owner and comes from a background in retail management and merchandising, she has worked in Atlanta, GA as well as Chattanooga, TN. Combined they makeup Consign By Design.

Consign By Design is unique for several reasons. First, they are service oriented in all that they do; that means that they put the customer first. Second, it is quiet normal to see many repeat customers who have remained loyal for years. They have focused on building rich relationships with each customer; in fact it is not unusual for them to think of their customers as part of their extended family here in Maryland. Third, on any given day you will find a broad mix of customers in the store, from moms to grandmothers shopping for both antique and contemporary items. Forth, Consign by Design carries of broad mix of new wares intermingled with their quality consigned items.
